  Summer Projects List

Summer Projects

In Need of Your Help

There are many projects ongoing over the course of the spring and summer. This is a partial list of how you could help with time and donations. Although our drive is to gather together on May 14-16th for our spring work weekend, many other times are available.

To get in touch with me about coming out, please call 701-797-2174 or email me here.

New decking on the tabernacle stage We have removed the old floor to rewire the outlets and repair several broken stringers. We are just about ready to lay down the new floor. We have plywood for a subfloor, but are still in need of a top layer (hardwood/ hardwood laminate).

Oven hood for kitchen We have been given an oven hood for the kitchen. This needs to be removed from our church in town and installed in our kitchen.

Repair horse pasture fencing Due to another year of flooding, we have many poles to reset and wire to be restrung to prepare for horse camp.

Build shelves in the barn We are always in need of more shelves and would like to increase the shelves in the upper barn.

Clean up and plant grass seed where the red shed was. We had a great time burning the red shed with the young men at ManDate Boot Camp.

The hardwood floors in two offices are in need of a light sanding and recoating of polyeuthane.

The overhead garage door in the tabernacle has been installed. It would be nice to paint the rails and support brackets so they will blend into the ceiling.

Paul has just a few more tasks to finish the wiring in the tabernacle, including hanging a light bar from the ceiling. If you would like to help him, let me know.

Re-shingle bathhouse roof. A group from Bethel has donated shingles and they would like to tackle this toward the end of June. If you would like to join them, let me know.

Finishing up winter projects. With your help we were able to complete the following projects at the director's house. Spray-on texture, touch up paint, install floor transitions, caulk counters, install a decorative wall panel (for concealing wires). We also installed a floor-to-ceiling curtain in the back of the walk-in pantry, and we replaced an exterior door panel and weather stripping. We wrapped this work up with a Saturday of cleaning by many folks from the local churches.

We still need to complete the return air ducting for the forced air furnace in the crawl space, as well as install a slot for a furnace fileter. We also would like to install a propane furnace in the garage. (We have a furnace here.)

I hope to see you soon and look forward to serving along side you as stewards of God's camp.
Jeremy Nies,
Facilities Manager

Get a group together and come work at camp!

Projects at camp are a great time to get away, enjoy fellowship & have some fun. If you are an individual, a family, Men's, Women's, Couple's ministry, or any kind of small group, we would love to help you have a miniature retreat while serving here at camp.
If you are interested in a skill specific task from cleaning to painting, or if you have skills as a locksmith, an electrician, plumber, heating & cooling, carpentry, or have two hands & a servants heart, we've got something for you to do. Please contact me through the website or by phone & let me know how we can partner with you.
