2018 Labor Day Family Camp (August 31-September 3)

‚Äč

We know that life is often chaotic. The challenges of a calendar filled with Church activities, work, school events, sports, and various practices make having quality family time nearly impossible. When was the last time you prayed or read the Word of God together as a family? When was the last time you were able to rest and reflect on what God is doing in your family? We want to help your family grow spiritually, which is why we have developed Family Camp to encourage spiritual renewal for your family.

Come and enjoy the beautiful Sheyenne River Valley while you relax, refresh, recharge, refocus, and experience the life-transforming power of Christ.

Speaker Peter Worrell

Originally from England, Peter has a B.Ed. from the University of Exeter. After undergrad, Peter taught in Japan and Pakistan, before coming to Chicago to attend the Graduate School at Moody Bible Institute (MBI). While completing his Master of Arts in Biblical Studies at MBI, Peter met Kelli in the cafeteria. She was teaching in the Communications Department.

Kelli is originally from Minnesota. She has a B.S. in Communications from Cedarville University and a Masters in Religious Education from Trinity International University. Kelli moved to Chicago right after college and worked in Christian publishing for several years before accepting a faculty position at MBI.

Peter and Kelli were married in 1999 in England. After they were married, they both continued their education. Peter earned a Master of Arts in Teaching from National-Louis University, and Kelli earned a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Roosevelt University.

In 2005 Peter also joined the faculty at MBI—in the Educational Ministries Department. So for the past thirteen years Peter and Kelli have enjoyed teaching side-by-side and flirting in the hallways when the opportunity presents itself.

Peter and Kelli enjoy speaking and writing together. Their first book was 20 Things We’d Tell Our Twentysomething Selves is both a love letter to their students and a call to true discipleship for the next generation. More information about the book and free Bible studies can be found at www.peterandkelli.com.

Kelli has also written Pierced & Embraced: 7 Life-Changing Encounters with the Love of Christ. Pierced & Embraced takes a close and practical look at how Jesus so personally pursued seven women in the Gospels—and how He still pursues us in these same ways today. Kelli blogs at www.kelliworrall.com .

Peter and Kelli live in McHenry, Illinois, and they have two adorable children through adoption: Daryl (10) and Amelia (7).
